Monday Musings - A Tale of Two Mornings
Most of you know - or have guessed - that I work out of my home office for most of the year. I have found that there are pros and cons to that arrangement, but it generally works for me. From time to time, my inner wandering child gets to wishing for the routine to be shaken up a little, and this past weekend my Inner Child was awakened to experience two vastly different mornings. Let's just say that as a continuum, we ran from one side to the other. This picture of an iconic Boston landmark was taken by me on Friday, as I commuted into Boston for a 9:30 presentation on Social Media marketing platforms. Both of those events are rare to me in and of themselves, but the unexpected view of the Charles as I walked along Memorial Drive to get to my destination literally took my breath away. I have no desire to do that every day, but my breath caught when I realized that Citgo was in my camera lens. Sigh - up at 4:30 to make it in, home by 1:00...a definite culture shock.OK, now fast forward 48 hours, and this is my purple pedi'd toe on a friends boat heading out for the morning's water ride, with Gunstock Mtn in the distance. Peaceful, serene, relaxing - I don't know if I could have painted a more different morning from Friday if I tried.Different indeed, but for the weather and for the fact that I wouldn't want to be doing anything else. This is totally my favorite time of the year.
