Welcome to my little corner of the world, and my day in the Little Gems Blog Hop. This is a group project by the Island Batik Ambassadors, and I've been having a blast with my piece. Connie Kauffman has a wonderful book that I've had a lot of fun checking out - I couldn't stop with just my project. I am NOT a paper piecing novice, but I had never worked with a pineapple block before, and Tranquility (don't you love the name?) gave me the chance to do just that...in all kinds of soft colors that just seemed to blend.I just had to have that little stand to go with the piece - which went together easy peasy.Here are some of the blocks scattered before I put them together...This is one of the latest finished Island Batik projects that I have to share - I have others in process, and I love working with the fabric sccraps.
