Smash Your Precut Stash Blog Tour
Good morning, and welcome to my stop on the Smash Your Precuts Blog Tour.I was thrilled to be asked by Kate and Elizabeth to be part of this exciting new adventure for them - and (like many of you) precuts are a big part of my stash. They are like candy, beckoning to me from the shelves when I am out and about. Within the last year, I have begun buying more of the precuts because of the variety of fabrics you can get...so my quest has become ways to use up more fabrics in my personal quilt patterns.I have fallen in love with this book because I have found some really fresh interpretations of classic designs, and after having looked through the book several times, my personal favorite is a new baby quilt idea called Plain Jane. This Jane is anything but plain, and you can easily customize it for boys, girls, or gender neutral shower gifts. It's also gives you a great background for practicing your free motion quilting...whether it's straight line, walking foot, or fancier motifs you are looking to improve on. This quilt will be a hit with anyone you give it to. Let me know what you think of this pattern if you try it - I'm pretty sure it will show up here sooner rather than later. The publisher is allowing each of the hoppers (and wait until you see what good company I'm in!!) to host a book giveaway. Winners within the US will win a hardcopy of the book, and outside the US will win an ebook. Hard copy books have been held up in shipping, and will be sent by the publisher in mid May as soon as they are available. Thanks to C&T Publishing for their generousity. To enter the giveaway, I'd love to hear from you which precut is your favorite size. I'm sure we all have an opinion about that! The blog tour will continue through next Thursday, April 30th, and the winner of my book will be selected on Monday, May 4th - so you have a nice long time to enter the giveaway on this blog hop! Please visit the other stops on the Smash Your Precut Blog Hop Tour:04/21/2015 C&T Publishing04/22/2015 Jackie Kunkel of Canton Village Quiltworks04/23/2015 Me!04/24/2015 Debbie Grifka of Esch House Quilts04/25/2015 Casey York04/27/2015 Becky Jorgensen of Patchwork Posse04/28/2015 Susan Emory of Swirly Girls04/29/2015 Pat Sloan04/30/2015 Kate Colleran of Seams Like a DreamEnjoy the other stop on the Smash Your Precuts Blog Tour!
