(Tipmas) New Year, New Project
Maybe it’s the fact that the Christmas rain washed away most of our snow last week, but I’m looking ahead to bright possibilities today. I know that there’ll be more snow soon, but for now, I can tease myself that spring is almost here. Don’t throw things at me…I know winter has only just begun. It makes these bright florals all the more fun right now.
This first project I’ll be tacking provides a bright punch of color to my sewing space today - thanks to the vibrant palette of Kaffe Fassett. This is some of the fabric pull that’s on my worktable this morning. if you caught it earlier in the challenge, back when it was clear…I can tell you now, it’s a mess again. I’ve pulled the sketchpad that was part of the project box - and I’m figuring out where I left off. This is a bit of secret sewing that I am working on for later in 2021,.
This will be the first UFO I cross off my UFO list for 2020. It’s destined to be on the road to the longarmer who’s got me queued up before too long. The inspiration for this is a charm pack of Kaffe fabrics that I’ve had in the stash for far too long. I have a small stash of Kaffe fabrics, and I’m using those to fill in some of the notes on this quilt. This project led me to buy a bolt of turquoise (smart shopper that I am!) when I found it on a clearance bin.
