My 2025 Word is Possibilities

New Year’s - pondering the possibilities

My year of Authentic had me working on a total of 12 different quilt projects, starting as early as New Year’s Day and continuing until mid-December.  Of the 12, most were other people’s designs and patterns, a byproduct of life as a certified instructor.  Singularly, the one design that was my own came almost as an afterthought, but it stands out (small as it is) as being the piece that brought me the most creative dopamine of the year.

Be Hoo You Are - 2024. I should have named this one Creative Dopamine - it just makes me happy!

As I pondered this year’s word, I wanted something that was unyieldingly positive in nature – and I kept coming back to Possibilities.  They’re abundant (another great word), and if you remove your limiting beliefs, you’re left with an almost endless amount of choices.  Your pathway will tell you how far (and how fast) you can progress and unlock your possibillities.

That thought alone told me that I had chosen my word.

I am determined to make 2025 the most that it can be – not a paler version of 2024, but a blank canvas of its’ own, waiting for me to make the most of it.

The possibilities await me!

Cheers…

In my next blog, I’ll be looking at the projects which have earned a spot on my ‘must work on this year’ list.  More creative opportunities abound.

Well, another page has turned on the calendar, and that means that it’s time to pick this year’s word.  I find this practice to be a helpful guide throughout the year, often leading me to unexpected places on my life’s  journey.  Last year’s word, authentic, turned out to be a catalyst for some of the most defining moments in my entire life, allowing me to revisit  places that I haven’t seen in 50 years. In January, I didn’t know that was something I needed to do.
