Monday Musings: It's a Blog Pop!
Good morning, and welcome to my own snowy little corner of the world, here in New Hampshire - where winter has finally decided to pay us a visit. I've been in love with the PopUp concept ever since I saw it in a shop last summer, and I am thrilled to be part of this Blog Hop.I am first in the lineup, so after I tell you a little about how I use this in my sewing space, I'll let you know who else is playing with this hop, and how you can win from each of us.I'm a quilt pattern designer, and I knew that my pattern Prism would be a great candidate to be used to make this item. I'm also a Brand Ambassador for Island Batik, and I like the way the patriotic colors play well together in the sample I made. I also love putting together retreats and events where quilters gather - the next time your Guild needs a speaker, bookmark my page and see the Program and workshop offerings that I have developed.I sew in the second bedroom of my family home - it's well organized, and it suits me - but I'm always looking for new bins or boxes or ways to keep my next great project organized and all in one place. This is perfect for that; it's lightweight, it's sturdy - it can hold a LOT of fabric. I made mine in the medium size, and I'm thinking of making it in the big size next to keep all my rolled interfacings from escaping. There are ten designers who are playing along in this hop, and they will each be bringing their own ideas (and I'll be reading to see what they say) as to how to use this item. The bloggers who are participating are:Feb 8 - me! You're here - and I hope you'll come back often!Feb 9 - SummercrafterFeb 10 - Triangle FrenzyFeb 11 - Seams Like a DreamFeb 12 - Custom Quilt KitsFeb 15 - Cabin in the Woods QuiltersFeb 16 - On Point QuilterFeb 17 - Happy Memories QuiltsFeb 18 - Poorhouse Quilt DesignsFeb 19 - Swirly Girls DesignsFat Quarter Gypsy is hosting a grand prize giveaway over at the host blog, and you can click on the button above and to the right that says "It's a Blog Pop" and it will link you right there. That's the only place to enter into the Grand Prize Drawing.I'm giving away everything you need to make a pop up like mine - my Pattern (which is available in my online store here on the site, and in some local shops in New England), the Springs and the Stacking Pop Up pattern from Fat Quarter Gypsy...All you need to do is to leave a comment (with your email address) below about what your best organization tip for your sewing room is. .I'll be picking the winner next Sunday, Feb 14th - so you have plenty of time to leave a comment. The winner will be announced in next Monday's blog post. Thanks for dropping by.
