(Tipmas) Relaunching in 3…2…1
Welcome to the blog of One Quilting Circle, where I’m crossing yet another bucket item off 2020 bucket list. If you’re anything like me, you began the year with ambition, enthusiasm and an I want to conquer the world attitude. I still have all of that, but I can honestly say that almost none of what I’ve accomplished this year was on the horizon in January. At the end of last year, I selected my 2020 word of the year - Fearless. I have to say, it’s served me well with this year.
In March, I began hosting a FB live segment on my business Facebook page every Wednesday morning at 10 - and with one or two exceptions, I’ve been there every Wednesday. The photo of me above is from a recent (early November, if I remember)…and I can quite honestly say my hair has never been longer.
One of my original goals for this year was to relaunch my blog - I’ve been told that I write well, but like many bloggers - not often enough. I moved the website to a different platform earlier this year, and I needed to decide what to do with the content I’ve created along the way. If we’ve ever met, you know that I am one who works well under pressure. I had created a template on how to do this using a formula I called the 31 days of Tip-mas, where I’d give you a tip of some sort, culled from 25 odd years of quilt making. I’m a speaker, a teacher, a pattern designer, a blogger - and one who serves as a consultant on business matters for small businesses. But my passion is, and always has been, quiltmaking.
My 31 days had a mashup with Muppin.com’s 31 Days Blogwriting Challenge - and with some formatting changes on my part…I signed up. Today’s tip works in many applications, whether we’re talking about life, or a virtual meeting, or a new quilt pattern. The first step is always the hardest - but the thing is, you’ll never have to take the first step again. That’s why it’s always the hardest.
The mashup graphic below has a link in it to all the amazing bloggers who are Going for it this month…you may want to check in with them from time to meet them as well.
Until tomorrow…
Linda
