(Tipmas) My scrap stash

Tonight’s blog post is rather short and sweet. This is one of my oldest organizational hacks, it works. And it’s out of sight when I need it to be, and steps away from my cutting table when I want it to be.

The packets of fabric are ‘loosely’ organized by color, and i take the largest piece in the bin and wrap the other smaller pieces in it.

When it gets too big, I can tell it’s time to use that color in a scrap quilt. It looks like I’ll be pulling fabric for a blue scrap quilt sometime soon.

How do you organize your scraps? I love to look at systems on Pinterest and on Instagram, but when it works, don’t break it.

Words to live by.

When it works, it works. Using Vertical storage whenever you can - even on the inside of a closet door.
