Another week, another blog hop! I’ve often said that I have the absolute best girlfriends in the industry on the planet, and I’ve been working on this for a while now. I was thrilled to be asked to participate in Marlene Oddie and Leila Gardunia’s brand new book, You Can Quilt! Building Skills for Beginners, publishing this fall by AQS.
We play well as a team at this point – you’ll recognize the names (and the blogs, I hope as well) as the Island Batik Ambassadors work to support one of our own – Marlene Oddie. Island Batik is sponsoring the blog hop by allowing us to use the latest and greatest fabric (literally, the Fall Market collection) on this, and they are partnering with AQS to sponsor a blog giveawat.
Some of the blogs have already started, but it’s well worth pulling up a cup of tea and looking at the amazing work the authors have created.

The progression of the skill building approach is much like one would find in a quilting class; each of the block is sequentially more of a challenge. Just you wait to see what’s coming at you on November 4th!
Island Batik and AQS are teaming up to sponsor a giveaway opportunity on the blog – there’s fabric from the amazing collections featured, as well as a hardcopy of the book – being given away. To enter, just leave a comment on the blog below, and you’ll automatically be entered below.

Due to scheduling issues (next week I’ll be at Quilt Market on Monday), the blog will next post on Wednesday, November 4th with my entry on the blog hop.
